Sweet Dreams, Little One

When my children have nightmares, it bothers me to the core.  I cannot protect them from the things they see and experience in their dreams, but there is one thing I can do. Pray over them Proverbs 3:24 "When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." Thank you my dear friend, Cara, for sharing this verse with me and inspiring me to make this wall art to hang above Leah's bed. Thank you, Mom, for encouraging me to finally put up curtains in her room, which I confess should have been done when we moved in a year ago. Praying and hanging curtains helped so much!

Yes, I abandoned my project of making my own ruffled curtains for my daughter's room.  No guilt here! You can buy these for $20 a panel from Target.

Here is a little info about the wall art:

The frame was a thrift store find that I painted to coordinate with the room's color scheme.
The matte was created by using a dress Leah never got to wear as a toddler.
The verse was printed on polka dot fabric that I ran through our printer.  (Not so easy. I always wanted to try this technique, and it only took me a kazillion tries to get it right.)

Remind your children to not be afraid of the dark. After all, God was the one who created it. The same God, who created them and everything they need, including the night.

Sweet dreams,

Lindsey
